Software Engineer
- About the company:
- Our client is a Malaysian construction and civil engineering company that operates mainly in infrastructure, roadworks and building projects.
- Job responsibilities:
- - Oversee and manage all civil and structural engineering activities on the railway project site in Penang.
- - Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations.
- - Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
- - Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and ensure quality control.
- - Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications.
- - Identify and resolve any engineering issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
- - Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site staff.
- - Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are strictly adhered to on site.
- - Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- - Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Job requirements:
- - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- - Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on railway projects.
- - Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
- - Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulations related to railway construction.
- - Proven experience in project management and site supervision.
- - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- - Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- - Willingness to be based in Penang and travel to project sites as required.
