A JobCopilot alternative, and where the two differ
JobCopilot and Shortlist are the same kind of tool: an agent that applies for you on companies' own sites rather than through a job board. That makes the differences worth being precise about.
What JobCopilot does
JobCopilot's own description: it applies to jobs automatically from more than 500,000 companies worldwide, set-and-forget, with cover letters generated for each. It is a serious product and one of the few that, like Shortlist, applies on the company's careers page rather than through LinkedIn's quick-apply button. If you are choosing between the two, you are already choosing well.
Where Shortlist differs
You see the form before it goes. Shortlist's default is approval: Pip fills the employer's form and shows it to you, every answer, the resume it picked, and you press send. When you trust it, you set a rule, and it applies only to jobs that clear your bar. The choice is yours per application, not per account.
Minutes, not the next run. Company career pages are read every six hours, and a new match that clears your rule is applied to on the same pass, while the recruiter is still opening the first applications in. The home page shows what that looks like on a clock.
Nothing invented. The tailored resume and any letter are checked, mechanically, against your own record: no skill, no number, no employer you did not write down. A question the form asks that Pip cannot answer from your profile waits for you, once, and the answer is remembered.
Replies in one place. Every employer reply is filed against the application it belongs to and forwarded to your own inbox.
Priced for a job hunt. Ten applications free with no card, then weekly plans, because a search is a burst of a few weeks. In India the plans are in rupees and paid by UPI.

What to check before choosing either
Whether your jobs are there. Shortlist's board is public: every role Pip can apply to is on it, by country and role, with the posted salary where the employer stated one, refreshed every six hours. Look for your roles first; then decide.
