  • We are looking for a high-energy and results-oriented
  • Area Sales Manager – Education Loans to drive business growth and loan disbursements across an assigned geography. This role focuses on building strong distribution networks, developing strategic partnerships, generating a consistent sales pipeline, and expanding market presence within the education-finance ecosystem.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong experience in retail lending, education loans, financial services, channel sales, or business development, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing partner relationships.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Drive education-loan sourcing and disbursement targets across the assigned territory.
  • Develop and manage a strong network of education consultants, study-abroad consultants, institutions, universities, colleges, DSAs, and channel partners
  • Identify, acquire, onboard, and activate new sourcing partners to expand distribution.
  • Build strong relationships across the education ecosystem to generate a consistent pipeline of loan applications.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation, sourcing, application login, approval, and disbursement
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing partners and maximise business potential from key accounts.
  • Work closely with Credit, Operations, Underwriting, and other internal teams to ensure smooth processing and faster turnaround times.
  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and take corrective actions to achieve business targets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to understand customer needs, partner opportunities, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Identify new business opportunities and untapped customer and partner segments within the territory.
  • Ensure quality sourcing with strong attention to customer profiles, documentation, eligibility, and portfolio quality.
  • Provide regular market intelligence, competitor updates, and business insights to senior sales leadership.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, partner records, forecasts, and performance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to defined sales processes, internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.

What Makes You a Great Fit

4–6 years of experience in sales, business development, retail lending, education loans, consumer finance, or financial services.

Proven track record of consistently achieving

  • sales and disbursement targets
  • Experience in education loans, student loans, retail lending, unsecured lending, personal loans, banking, NBFCs, fintech, or consumer finance will be preferred.
  • Strong experience in B2B2C, channel sales, partner acquisition, DSA management, or consultant-driven sales
  • Experience working with education consultants, study-abroad consultants, universities, colleges, or institutional partnerships is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of territory management, lead generation, sales pipeline management, and customer acquisition.
  • Excellent relationship-management, negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable with field sales, regular market visits, and territory development
  • Data-driven approach with strong discipline in tracking sales performance, conversions, and business metrics.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with Credit, Operations, Underwriting, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to operate effectively in a growing or newly established business environment.
  • Strong ownership, resilience, and ability to work independently while delivering against ambitious targets.
  • Graduate in any discipline; an MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or a related field will be an advantage.
