Optical Hardware Engineer High-Speed PON / Transceiver Design

Intro: Looking for an Optical Hardware Engineer in Kuala Lumpur. Take charge of custom R&D and hardware design for global fiber networks (GPON/XGS-PON). Must have experience with optical transceivers and validation. Hybrid 3-day office setup.

About you

• -Experience as: Optical Design Engineer, Optoelectronics Hardware Engineer, Fiber Access Engineer, or Transceiver Validation Specialist.
• -Level: Targeted at senior and expert-level engineering candidates (5–8 years of experience).

What you will do

• -Own BOSA-on-Board (BOB) hardware design, validation, and calibration.
• -Author master verification plans and official optical validation compliance reports.
• -Partner with global component chip vendors to align technical packaging details.
• -Execute deep-dive failure analysis on optical and high-speed electronic circuits.

Experience you need

• -5+ years of hardware experience with GPON, XGS-PON, or optical transceivers.
• -Direct experience with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps optical layouts (25Gbps is preferred).
• -Mastery of optical lab equipment including DCA, BERT, and eye-diagram tools.
• Work Arrangement / Benefits:
