Head of Compliance

- Job responsibilities:
- - Develop and implement the compliance strategy and framework to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- - Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of compliance activities.
- - Monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
- - Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
- - Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and report findings to senior management and the board.
- - Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance across the organization.
- - Oversee the development and delivery of compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding among employees.
- - Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage all compliance-related inquiries and audits.
- Job requirements:
- - Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP) is preferred.
- - Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- - Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- - Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices in the banking sector.
- - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions.
- - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
