Dynamics 365 Customization Specialist

Role Summary

Our client is looking for a Dynamics 365 Customization Specialist to design, build, and maintain customizations on its Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement and Power Platform environment. In this role, you will turn business requirements into secure, scalable solutions, working closely with business analysts, solution architects, and the IT security function in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Customization and Configuration
• Configure and customize Dynamics 365 CE modules, including tables, forms, views, fields, relationships, business rules, and dashboards
• Build and maintain model driven apps and, where needed, canvas apps on the Power Platform
• Design and manage Dataverse data models in line with enterprise data standards
• Develop business process flows to standardize case handling, approvals, and workflows
• Development and Extensibility
• Develop plugins (C#/.NET) and custom workflow activities for server side logic
• Write client side scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript for form events and UI behavior
• Build PCF (Power Apps Component Framework) controls where standard components fall short
• Automate processes with Power Automate cloud flows, including approvals and integrations
• Integration
• Integrate Dynamics 365 with internal systems through Dataverse Web API, REST/SOAP services, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus
• Support data migration and data quality work using tools such as KingswaySoft, SSIS, or Azure Data Factory
• Security and Governance
• Configure security roles, business units, teams, field level security, and hierarchy security following least privilege principles
• Make sure all customizations comply with information security policies, data classification, and audit requirements
• Maintain solution documentation, technical design documents, and change records
• ALM and Release Management
• Manage managed and unmanaged solutions across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Power Platform Pipelines
• Follow formal change management and release processes
• Support and Stakeholder Engagement
• Provide L2/L3 support for production issues, including root cause analysis and fixes
• Work with business users to clarify requirements and propose solution options
• Support UAT and user training where required
• Technical Requirements
• Must have
• 5+ years in Dynamics 365 CE / CRM with deep hands on customization experience
• Strong knowledge of Dataverse, model driven apps, and solution architecture
• Plugin development in C#/.NET and client side scripting in JavaScript
• Power Automate and Power Apps experience in production environments
• Dynamics 365 security model configuration
• Solution based ALM across multiple environments
• Integration experience using Web API and Azure services
• Good to have
• PCF control development
• Power Pages (Portals)

Azure DevOps CI/CD for Power Platform

• Experience in banking, financial services, or government entities
• Exposure to case management or complaints handling workflows
• Certifications (Preferred)

Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant Associate (MB-230)
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200)
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600), a strong plus
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Soft Skills
• Clear communicator with both technical and business stakeholders
• Disciplined about documentation and change control
• Comfortable working within strict governance and security frameworks
• Able to work independently and own deliverables
