Product Manager - myRico
- HSR, Bangalore, India
- Mission
- The best teams spend too much time keeping work moving. Context is scattered across conversations, documents and tools. Decisions get lost. Dependencies go unnoticed. Someone has to remember what matters, connect the dots and follow through.
- We’re building myRico to help carry that work.
- Our ambition is an AI teammate that understands your company—its goals, people, decisions and ways of working—and uses that understanding to help the team get things done. A teammate that earns trust through useful work, sound judgment and dependable follow-through.
- Our starting point is helping software teams move projects from intent to delivery. Success means less effort spent coordinating and correcting work, and a shorter path to an outcome the team can stand behind.
The role
- We’re hiring our founding Product Manager to help turn that ambition into a product that teams rely on every day.
- You’ll work closely with the founders, engineers and early customers to figure out where Rico creates the most value, what we should build next and whether it actually works. You’ll own the loop from understanding a problem to shipping a solution, watching people use it and making it better.
- Some of the hardest questions are also the most interesting. When should Rico act on its own? When should it ask? What should it remember? How does it earn permission to take on more responsibility? How do we know it has saved someone time once we account for the effort of directing, reviewing and correcting it?
In practice, you might spend a morning watching a customer run a project, prototype a better workflow that afternoon, and work with engineering to put it in their hands that week. You’ll read conversations, investigate failures, challenge assumptions and make the small product decisions that determine whether an AI teammate feels useful or exhausting.
- You’ll help shape both the product and how we build it. That means choosing a few problems worth solving deeply, making clear tradeoffs and staying accountable for what happens after launch.
- This role is based in Bangalore and would require 5 days in office.
- What we’re looking for - Customer obsession. You get close enough to users to understand how their work actually happens, including the workarounds they’ve stopped noticing.
- - Product judgment. You can turn an ambiguous problem into a clear decision about what to build, what to leave out and what evidence would change your mind.
- - A builder’s instinct. You use prototypes, experiments and AI tools to make ideas tangible and learn quickly.
- - Technical fluency. You can reason with engineers about AI behavior, memory, integrations, permissions and the tradeoffs between quality, latency and cost.
- - Care for the details. You notice when an interaction creates confusion, a notification interrupts at the wrong time or a confident answer hasn’t earned that confidence.
- - Ownership. You follow a problem through discovery, delivery and adoption. You stay with it when the first solution falls short.
- - Clear communication. You write precisely, explain your reasoning and disagree thoughtfully.
Experience
You’ve helped take a product or meaningful feature from an unclear problem to real usage. You can explain the decisions you made, the tradeoffs you accepted and what you learned when users surprised you.
Your background might be product management, engineering, design or founding a company. We care about evidence of good judgment and useful things you’ve shipped.
This role will be a poor fit if
- - You need a fully defined roadmap before you can make progress.
- - You prefer handing off requirements to staying involved through implementation and adoption.
- - You’re uncomfortable spending substantial time with customers or examining where the product fails.
- - You find it difficult to change direction when the evidence challenges your original idea.
Bonus
- - You’ve built an AI product and dealt with its behavior in real use.
- - You’ve worked on collaboration tools, developer products or complex business workflows.
- - You’ve been a founder or an early employee at a startup.
- - You can build working prototypes yourself.
