SAP Technical Lead

What You Will Do

- Manage the SAP technical landscape, ensuring system stability, security, and performance across SAP S/4HANA and integrated cloud solutions.
- Oversee ABAP development, SAP Basis (system administration), and SAP Security & Authorisations.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure SAP platforms are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop, code, and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests, and testing tools.
- Govern external vendors, review technical designs and deliverables, and act as an escalation point for complex technical and production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and adoption of SAP best practices.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA technical roles (ABAP, Basis, Security, or combined).
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring SAP technical teams.
- Experience with SAP cloud solutions.
- Solid understanding of SAP integrations, APIs, and middleware concepts.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, and Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.

- Well-known Malaysian EPCC / Oil & Gas company with a 40-year history.
- Utilises SAP (multiple modules) across the business globally.
- Successfully delivered up-stream, down-stream, mid-stream, and renewable energy projects.
- Global presence across 8 countries with a workforce of 2,500 employees.
