About This Role

• Compliance Built Into the Machine: own the proof point that governance can be embedded directly into an AI-native operating model, not bolted on to satisfy investors.
• Architect of the “ISO Agent”: translate ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 clauses into structured, automatable logic our engineering team can build into always-on agents — moving from periodic audits to continuous, real-time conformance.
• Global Standards Owner: champion standards and governance at leadership level, building a framework that flexes across every jurisdiction as we scale toward 50+ markets.

Requirements

• What We Are Looking For 8+ years leading ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System implementation and personally building or implementing an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS, including policies, risk treatment plans, Statements of Applicability and Annex A controls.
• ISO 9001 and/or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification (or equivalent).
• A track record building and leading compliance teams, and operating compliance programs across multiple countries or legal entities simultaneously.
• Direct experience introducing automation or AI-driven tooling into compliance work — continuous control monitoring, automated evidence collection, GRC platforms — and genuine comfort partnering with engineers.
• Experience engaging executive leadership on compliance or governance matters.
• Energised by building something from scratch inside a fast-scaling, resource-lean organisation.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management Systems) or other emerging AI-governance frameworks.
• Experience on both sides of the audit table, including taking organisations through ISO 27001 certification or surveillance audits and time at a certification or accreditation body.
• Additional standards: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22301, ISO 20000, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST CSF.
• Experience implementing ISO standards at scale within SaaS, technology, or B2B enterprise software organisations.
